What They're Looking For.

Must Have

2- 5 years of EHS experience in manufacturing or industrial environments, High School diploma or Diploma or Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety or related field, Advanced First Aid Certification or be able to obtain within 3 weeks of hire, Experience with WCB claims, modified work, and return-to-work, Ability to handle medical emergencies calmly and effectively, English skills are required to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, memos, and verbal communication, Ability to write simple correspondence and to effectively present information one-on-one or in small groups, Ability to understand, accurately record perform simple mathematical calculations – addition, subtraction, multiplication and division, Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions, identify root causes and develop solutions, Ability to deal with standardized situations with variables, Ability to manage conflict/change/negotiation management situations with professionalism and minimal collateral damage, Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Work, PowerPoint, and Outlook

Nice to Have

Experience in unionized environments, 1 – 2 years facilitating EHS training, Standard First Aid/ CPR trained, Working knowledge of Origami

How You'll Work.

Team & Collaboration

Partnering with Human Resources and supervisors on workplace accommodations; Support supervisors with toolbox talks and safety meetings; Collaboration with regulatory support
