Maintain facility training calendar
Ensure training records maintained
Facilitate internal facility safety training
Implement written EHS programs
Implement company safety policies
Administer hearing conservation program
Maintain contractor safety manual
Obtain knowledge of EHS standards
Obtain knowledge of Workers’ Comp
Ensure facility monthly safety inspections
Make recommendations to remedy deficiencies
Provide internal support for workers’ compensation
Act as facility safety contact
Interface with insurance adjusters
Provide hands-on guidance for incident reporting
Provide hands-on guidance for incident investigation
Promote positive safety culture
Develop documents for employee communications
Deliver data for employee communications
Team with line managers
Lead plant wide safety initiatives
Serve as co-chair for safety committee
Facilitate new hire safety on-boarding
Assist Distribution Department with ride-a-longs
Assist Distribution Department with investigations

Job Summary: EHS professional position that provides technical and professional support services to operations staff with guidance and direction from the local Plant Manager and the assigned EHS rep. Designs and delivers training, performs job hazard analysis and performs workplace safety inspections with guidance from the assigned EHS rep. This is an on the floor (high visibility / floor presence) position. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Maintains facility training calendar and ensures training records are maintained per OSHA requirements. Facilitates applicable internal facility safety training using appropriate training materials (hands-on, PowerPoints, props, etc) as scheduled. Implements written EHS programs and company safety policies aligned with Federal & State requirements (ie, OSHA, EPA or the respective State agencies). Administer the local hearing conservation program per OSHA regulatory requirements. Maintains and administers the facility written contractor safety manual.
