What They're Looking For.
Must Have
OSHA 30 required, Minimum 2 years prior experience working within the heavy industrial construction industry, Working knowledge of OSHA regulations, standards, and other applicable codes/regulations, Excellent verbal and written communication skills, Ability to assess potential hazards and risks within operations and develop and implement strategies to mitigate them effectively, Understanding of and ability to learn incident investigation techniques and root cause analysis, Ability to understand emergency response plans and procedures, Ability to build relationships and collaborate with employees at all levels of the organization, as well as external stakeholders, Familiarity with risk assessment methodologies such as Job Safety Analysis (JSA) or Hazard and Operability Study (HAZOP), Experience in conducting safety audits or inspections, Certification in First Aid/CPR, Proficiency in using MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint), Ability to use safety management software for reporting and documentation requirements

What You'll Do.
Assist with safety training programs
Ensure employees have required training
Assist in performing new hire orientations
Coordinate and conduct daily safety meetings
Apply leadership skills to develop team members
Document and store training materials
Implement and enforce safety protocols
Perform continual monitoring of job site
Lead or participate in incident investigations
Ensure injured employees receive care
Utilize KPA reporting
Work with operations to determine actionable items
Establish communication between operations and H&S
Conduct and document daily inspections and audits
Meticulously keep accurate records
Consult with regulatory agencies
Stay informed about industry best practices
Collaborate to identify opportunities for enhancing safety
