What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST), 5 years of experience in a construction safety position, Extensive working knowledge of OSHA regulations, standards, and other applicable codes/regulations, Ability to lead and manage a team of EHS personnel effectively, Excellent verbal and written communication skills, Prior experience working within the heavy industrial construction industry, Proven ability to assess potential hazards and risks, Experience in incident investigation techniques and root cause analysis, Knowledge of emergency response plans and procedures, Ability to build relationships and collaborate with employees at all levels, Certification in First Aid/CPR, Proficiency in using MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
Nice to Have
MSHA Certification or background, Familiarity with risk assessment methodologies such as Job Safety Analysis (JSA) or Hazard and Operability Study (HAZOP), Experience in conducting EHS audits or inspections, Familiarity with EHS management software or systems

Coordinate and oversee EHS training programs
Assist in creating and performing new hire orientations

Implement company EHS policies and procedures
Perform continual monitoring of job site and work habits
Lead the investigation of incidents
Ensure injured employees are provided appropriate care
Establish a firm communication system between operations and H&S
Conduct and document regular inspections
Meticulously keep accurate records

Ensure compliance with local
and federal safety regulations
Engage with regulatory agencies
Stay informed about industry best practices
Collaborate with Regional EHS Management
Analyze safety data and trends
