ABOUT THE ROLE Base is seeking a EH&S Engineer to support our field operations teams in Texas. As an EHS Engineer, you will perform hazard assessments, incident investigations, work through employees’ safety concerns and issues, as well as strategize with site leaders to prevent/reduce injuries. In addition, you will ensure environmental compliance with all local, state, and federal regulatory requirements applicable to these departments. What You’ll Do - Develop and maintain compliance with all applicable regulations and/or guidelines established by Texas Health and Safety Codes, OSHA, NFPA, NIOSH - Collaborate with department leadership to complete job hazard assessments and implement health and safety policies and procedures - Execute industrial hygiene studies to analyze manufacturing byproducts against associated human health thresholds - Inspect facilities, machinery, and safety equipment in order to identify and correct potential hazards, and implement machine guarding when needed - Complete and maintain documented safety observations from regular hazard identification audits - Investigate industrial accidents, injuries, or occupational diseases to determine root causes, corrective actions and preventive measures - Develop safety solutions to resolve EHS hazards/ concerns within cost and schedule constraints following a safety order of precedence to include elimination, substitution, engineering controls, work practice controls, training, and personal protective equipment (PPE) to ensure that safety of personnel, property, and the environment are within acceptable risk bound
