Potential exposure to noise, dust, chemicals, or other environmental factors.
What They're Looking For.
Must Have
OSHA 30 required, Minimum 2 years prior experience working within the heavy industrial construction industry, Working knowledge of OSHA regulations, standards, and other applicable codes/regulations, Excellent verbal and written communication skills, Ability to assess potential hazards and risks within operations and develop and implement strategies to mitigate them effectively, Understanding of and ability to learn incident investigation techniques and root cause analysis, Ability to understand emergency response plans and procedures, Ability to build relationships and collaborate with employees at all levels of the organization, as well as external stakeholders, Proficiency in using MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
Nice to Have
MSHA Certification or background preferred, Familiarity with risk assessment methodologies such as Job Safety Analysis (JSA) or Hazard and Operability Study (HAZOP), Experience in conducting safety audits or inspections, Certification in First Aid/CPR
What You'll Do.
Assist with safety training programs
Ensure employees have required industry specific training
Assist in performing new hire orientations
Coordinate and participate in daily safety meetings
Implement and enforce safety protocols
Perform continual monitoring of job site
Lead and/or participate in incident investigations
Ensure injured employees are provided appropriate care
Conduct and document daily inspections and audits
Promptly address issues
Perform daily safety reports
Meticulously keep accurate records
Consult with regulatory agencies
Stay informed about best practices
Collaborate to identify opportunities for enhancing safety

Team & Collaboration
Collaboration with various departments and site leadership teams; Communication system between site operations and H&S; Works closely with the site operations team; Ensure safety team is a constructive partner with operations; Interfaces with customer’s safety team; Closely align company systems with customer requirements; Assist Safety Management with data gathering; Collaborate with Site/Area Management
