Fingerprinted, Criminal background investigation completed, Successfully complete the Maryland Employment History Review, Provide proper identification and documentation of eligibility for employment in the United States

Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university in Early Childhood Education, Meets the Maryland State Department of Education licensure requirements for Early Childhood Education Licensure

Nice to Have

Three previous years of teaching experience

What You'll Do.

Plan and provide developmentally appropriate instruction

Foster the success of all students

Provide an inclusive and welcoming learning environment

Facilitate positive transition from early care settings

Plan and implement instructional programs

and implement daily lesson plans

Develop and nurture a learning environment

Guide the learning process toward goals

Establish learning objectives consistent with needs

Create a classroom environment that supports engagement

Provide an instructional program for all students

Refer students for appropriate specialized support

Plan for and utilize instructional methods

Provide input to IEPs and EL Accommodation Plans

Take all necessary safety precautions

Maintain accurate and complete records

Assist administration in implementing policies

Develop norms of classroom behavior

Communicate performance to students and families

Provide timely and meaningful feedback

Make provisions for availability to students and families

Plan and oversee assignments for paraeducators

Plan and collaborate with co-teachers

Provide input on paraeducator performance

Establish relationships with administrators

Appraise own effectiveness

Participate in safe and orderly operation of schools

Attend staff meetings and professional learning

Team & Collaboration

Plan and collaborate with co-teachers including special education and ESOL educators; Establish relationships with administrators, curricular office staff, colleagues, students, families, and the school community
