Full Job Description

The Internship is designed to provide an intensive one-year experience in management of small animal clinical cases under Staff DVM supervision. The training program will utilize Staff doctors of VCA Civano Animal Hospital and approved out rotations. •Provide clinical care in the role of a veterinarian, i.e. examine patients, order tests, make diagnoses, prescribe treatments, and communicate with clients and referring veterinarians, for patients presented to their assigned Service. •Participate in the clinical and tutorial instruction of extern students, including daily student rounds; and other duties as assigned •Participate in Journal club, attend all Hospital Rounds/Seminar sessions and other seminars which are requirements of the Intern’s assigned Service. •Provide clinical care in the role of a veterinarian in the emergency duty schedule (evening, weekend and holiday duty on a rotating schedule) with other members of their assigned Service.
