Full Job Description

**Main purpose** We are looking for a commercially driven Dry Freight Charterer with 3–5 years of experience to join our freight team in Singapore. This role focuses on tonnage procurement across the Supramax segment, covering key Asian markets. The successful candidate will be responsible for securing time-chartered tonnage to support cargo programmes, while maintaining deep and strategic relationships with shipowners, operators and brokers across the region. **Key responsibilities** * Source and fix time charter vessels (Supramax) across Asia to meet internal cargo requirements and trading strategies. * Develop and manage strong commercial relationships with regional shipowners, operators and brokers. * Negotiate competitive charter terms and ensure alignment with operational, commercial, and risk requirements. * Monitor market trends, freight indices, and vessel availability to provide accurate and timely market intelligence. * Work closely with cargo desks, operations, and deals desk (risk) teams to optimise fleet performance and commercial outcomes. * Maintain up-to-date market coverage and provide regular reporting on freight opportunities and risks. * Support strategic initiatives and contribute to the long-term chartering strategy of the organisation. **Required qualifications** * Minimum 3 years' experience in dry freight chartering, with a strong focus on Supramax or Handysize segment. * Proven track record in time chartering and tonnage procurement. * Background from a shipowner, operator, commodity trading company or freight brokerage, with strong market credibility. * Deep understanding of the Asia dry bulk market. * Existing network of shipowners and operators in the region. * Excellent English communication skills (oral and written). **Preferred qualifications** * Additional experience across broader dry bulk segments or adjacent freight markets **Attributes for success** * Excellent commercial and negotiation skills. * Strong communication and interp
