What They're Looking For.
Must Have
2+ years experience in a supervisory role, 5+ years experience in the transportation, logistics, or solid waste industry, In-depth knowledge of transportation regulations, safety protocols, and compliance requirements, Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and engage a diverse team, problem-solving abilities and a track record of making effective decisions under pressure, Proficient in using Microsoft Office and transportation management software and technology for tracking and reporting, Valid driver's license with a clean driving record, Willingness to travel to the US, Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed, available by phone after-hours
Nice to Have
AZ or DZ license preferred, roll-off or lugger experience is an asset, GEOTAB experience is an asset
What You'll Do.
Supervising and managing a team of drivers
and support to ensure optimal performance
Overseeing the day-to-day operations
safety regulations and procedures
Working closely with a team of drivers and dispatchers to ensure timely service to our customers
Scheduling and coordinating driver assignments
and deliveries to meet operational goals and customer demands
Monitoring driver performance
conduct regular performance evaluations
and implement improvement plans when necessary
Ensuring compliance with all transportation regulations and company policies
including safety standards and vehicle maintenance
Maintaining accurate records and reports related to driver activities
Regularly audit current delivery and pick-up routes and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements without sacrificing safety and customer service
