Full Job Description
Objectives: Calibrate and optimize the thermal management functions on the central powertrain controller (CDCC / central driving and charging controller), including the thermal management operational strategy, actuator control, control parameters, and thermal target achievement for coolant circuits and air path systems. This will be the focus of the role Develop and own functional concepts for vehicle thermal management, including coolant circuit logic, thermal operating strategy, actuator coordination, and system interaction Define and manage system requirements, use cases, interfaces, and release criteria for thermal management functions, including interaction with HV battery, eDrive, charging system, thermal comfort, and supporting vehicle systems Plan, execute, and evaluate validation and release activities for calibrated thermal management functions based on thermal load cases, derating limits, cooling performance targets, and system test results Lead technical alignment with cross-domain stakeholders (e.g. battery, eDrive, charging, HVAC, software, validation, integration, and suppliers) for issue resolution, concept optimization, and implementation maturity Qualification: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related field . Working experience in automotive or component development, preferably focused on: Vehicle thermal management / thermal systems / coolant circuits . Thermal operational strategy, actuator control, or functional strategy calibration . System validation, thermal testing, load case execution, and data analysis . Good understanding of coolant circuits, chiller-based battery cooling, PTC-based battery heating, air path concepts, heat exchangers, fan/shutter systems, and thermal component protection principles . Experience using calibration tools such as ETAS INCA, CANape, and standard automotive measurement equipment . Familiarity with model-based development, e.g., MAT
