What They're Looking For.
Must Have
2+ years of DOT safety/compliance experience, Good working knowledge of FMCSA Hours of Service Regulations, Good working knowledge of State and Federal DOT rules and regulations, Valid driver’s license with acceptable MVR
What You'll Do.
Assist in administering fleet safety programs
Assist in compliance with DOT requirements
Assist in developing a culture of fleet safety
Deploy actionable data from safety telematics
Achieve FMCSA Compliance through training
Assist operations in developing fleet safety leaders
Administer post-accident DOT drug and alcohol testing process
Utilize lean tools to assess business opportunities
Facilitate continuous process improvements
Lead Kaizen activities
Participate in Kaizen activities
Lead value stream mapping activities
Participate in value stream mapping activities
Manage Electronic Logging Device (ELD) System
Investigate and assign unassigned truck moves
Track and report incomplete monthly inspections
Address safety non-conformance with drivers
Address violations/incidents with drivers
Assist in maintaining DOT records
Assist in filing DOT records
Maintain fleet safety training materials
Oversee CSA reporting
Track DOT Roadside Stop Inspection activities
File accident reporting activities
Facilitate continuing safety training
Facilitate continuing safety education
Investigate Hours of Service infractions
Investigate Hours of Service violations
Assist in developing a Safety Focused Culture
Support locations in prioritizing fleet safety initiatives
Leverage telematics to achieve safety objectives
Create dashboards from telematics data
Create regular reports from telematics data
Create ad hoc reports upon request
Develop actionable safety programs
Develop actionable compliance programs
Assist with telematics dashboard questions
Assist with telematics dashboard troubleshooting
Support execution of safety meetings
Support execution of truck rodeos
Support execution of driver observations
Support execution of ride-alongs
Support options to reward safe driving behavior
Support development of safety goals
Support measurement of safety goals
Monitor safety initiatives
Recommend improvements for safety initiatives
Communicate potential safety shortfalls to Field Leadership
Communicate potential safety shortfalls to Field Risk Managers
Decrease vehicle accidents
Decrease vehicle incidents
Decrease workers compensation claim incidents
Monitor safety/telematics inventory
Ensure requested material is distributed
Manage post-accident drug and alcohol testing processes
Coordinate with field management on test results
Coordinate with Risk Management on test results
Communicate positive test results
