What You'll Do.
Independently review mortgage documents for accuracy and completeness against investor guidelines
Ensure loans meet strict documentation standards before final certification
Review mortgage documents against established investor and custodial guidelines
Verify key data points such as borrower signatures
Determine whether documents are originals or copies and record findings in the document custody tracking system
Accurately document any discrepancies or exceptions and route them for reporting or resolution
Apply critical thinking when unique scenarios arise that require judgment beyond standard guidelines
Maintain high productivity and accuracy while reviewing a steady volume of files
Perform document review and data matching using the Document Custody tracking system
Ensure documentation complies with agency and investor guidelines
and escalate discrepancies or risk-related issues as needed
Maintain precise and timely system updates for tracking
Follow established procedures while demonstrating sound judgment when exceptions require interpretation
Adhere to M&T Bank’s risk
and internal control standards
Support audits and regulatory requirements as applicable
