We deliver safe, reliable energy to more than 1,200 communities. **Our benefits include:** * Medical coverage on date of hire * 100% employer paid cash balance pension plan * 401(k) with company match fully vested on date of hire * Minimum of 15 days paid vacation and 12 paid holidays * Paid parental leave and family caregiver leave Visit our[ _Benefits and Perks_](https://www.ameren.com/company/careers/why-ameren/benefits) Page for more information on benefits provided to regular full-time employees. ​ **About The Position** The Distribution Design Associate is primarily responsible for technical design, estimating, and material selection for customer and system improvement projects regarding construction on utility electric distribution lines and/or gas mains. **Key responsibilities include:** •Under the direction of Supervising Engineers/Supervisors Distribution Design, represent the Company to design projects to meet internal and external requirements. •Provide engineering services on customer requests and projects generated internally, such as reliability, planning and replacement. •Manage customer and system improvement projects to meet the required due date. •Provide excellent customer service to contribute to the customer satisfaction goals of Ameren Illinois. •Engineer and design facilities needed to provide adequate electric and gas service to residential, commercial, and industrial customers. •Create all construction designs in accordance with Company standards and policies. Maintain a thorough understanding of the Company’s Standard and Qualifications and customer billing policies. •Coordinate with Field Engineering to ensure projects are designed in a timeframe to meet in service requirements f
