High school diploma or equivalent required, Basic knowledge of radio dispatch equipment, Excellent communication and customer service skills, organizational skills with ability to work effectively under deadlines and time constraints, Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications, Ability to multitask and work in fast-paced operational environments, Reliable attendance and scheduling flexibility required, 5 days per week, Minimum 8-hour shifts, Potential overtime opportunities, Schedule flexibility with work hours ranging approximately between 6:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Support for operations in Bristol/Warren, Barrington, and statewide locations as needed, Subject to DOT drug testing and physical requirements

Previous school transportation, fleet operations, dispatch, or driver experience strongly preferred
What You'll Do.
Coordinate driver assignments and support route coverage needs
Counsel and coach drivers and monitors
Handle heavy phone and radio traffic
Receive scheduling concerns and driver escalate issues
Serve as a communication liaison
Provide solutions to route delays
Maintain dispatch records
Assist with payroll support
Support day-to-day operational oversight
Perform back-up driver or miscellaneous operational duties

**Dispatcher** **Location:** Warren, RI (supporting Bristol/Warren, Barrington & statewide operations) **Pay Range:** **$24.00–$28.00/hour** , based on experience and qualifications **Schedule:** Full-Time | 5 days/week | Minimum 8-hour shifts | Overtime opportunities available **Hours:** AM/PM shifts ranging approximately between **6:00 AM – 5:00 PM** At First Student, our Dispatchers are a constant reflection of our company’s commitment to safety and customer service.
