**_Job Description_** **What is the opportunity?** As the Director of the US Securities Settlements team, you will actively manage the settlement and oversight of US dollar fixed income and equity transactions while ensuring adherence to internal polices and procedures. Your role will be comprised of a number of functions from minimizing operational risk, creating opportunities for operational efficiencies, to leading through periods of regulatory change. **What will you do?** * Maintain strong working knowledge of departmental processes, systems and functions * Responsible for overall team results as measured through established SLAs and employee opinion surveys * Develop meaningful working relationships with both front office business partners and within the COO Group * Represent firm at industry meetings and communicate information related to regulatory initiatives as * Act as senior leader on projects and firm initiatives, advocating for team as needed * Drive departmental improvements and lead with a focus on overall operational optimization. * Ensure team adheres to control framework and work to minimize the presence of operational risk events **What do you need to succeed?** **Must-have** * 10 years of management experience in progressively senior roles * Strong knowledge of securities settlements across different product types * Strong communication skills and ability to connect with organizational stakeholders at various levels * Ability to empower employees and lead through change **Nice-to-have** * Experience with trade settlements platforms – DTC, BDC, CDS * Experience with vendor application – BPS Canada/US, Apex, Arrow, etc * Strong technical skills **What’s in it for you?** We thrive on the challenge to be our best, progressive thinking to keep growing, and working together to deliver trusted advice to help our clients thrive and communities prosper.
