What They're Looking For.
Must Have
minimum of 10 years of experience in Quality leadership, deep technical background in engineering, proven track record of scaling global QMS, modernizing QMS through technology and data-led innovation, deep expertise in raw materials and finished goods engineering, understanding of the "how" of equipment tooling and retooling, leadership presence, no-ego collaborative style, advocate for quality standards across the organization, passionate about cost optimization, passionate about value engineering, reduce warranty claims that improve the customer experience, autonomous, capable of pivoting global strategies, capable of halting production in response to quality risks, ensuring brand integrity is never compromised for the sake of speed, expert at identifying root-cause trends, prioritizing topics that move the needle, communicator who can drive accountability and partnership across diverse global teams, creative, build great new things that are fresh and unique while staying on brand, agile, motivated by a fast-paced and ever changing environment, passionate about transforming travel for all

Own the evolution of Quality at Away
Optimize the entire global supply chain
Identify and champion solutions
Bridge the gap between US design and Asia manufacturing
Enable supply chain systems
Provide real-time visibility into factory performance
Ensure data drives manufacturing decisions
Lead global manufacturing innovation
Drive the strategy for equipment
Design and govern technical excellence standards
Manage the routine testing program
Serve as the primary escalation point for quality issues
Partner with US and Asia-based leadership on supplier strategy
Modernize manufacturing capabilities
Advocate for targeted automation or tooling upgrades
Partner with global Product Development leadership
Direct supplier engagements
Ensure quality benchmarks are met
Architect and execute a comprehensive 'Cost of Quality' roadmap
Leverage value engineering and predictive testing
Optimize the total cost of ownership
Drive measurable margin improvements
Develop DIY kits and modular product designs
Improve customer experience
Reduce environmental impact
Actively seek out product quality improvements
Reduce product-related warranty claims
