Must Have
10-plus years of professional experience in a nonprofit demonstrated success in a development function (managing and forging relationships with multiple donor sources), Tangible experience of having expanded and cultivated existing donor relationships over time, Excellent communication skills, both written and ability to influence and engage a wide range of donors and build long-term relationships, organizational skills, Flexible and adaptable a leader who can positively impact both strategic and tactical fundraising initiatives, Ability to work both independently without close oversight, but also a team player who will productively engage with others at varying levels of seniority within and outside IRC, High energy and passion for IRCs mission is essential, Ability to construct, articulate, and implement annual strategic development plan, organizational and time management skills with exceptional attention to detail, Donor focus, Excellent verbal and written communication skills, A professional and resourceful the ability to work independently and as a team player, to take initiative, and to manage multiple tasks and projects at a time, Demonstrable track record of Strategic Fundraising, Successful, significant and relevant achievement at management level in a comparable national/international organization, Experience of utilizing the strength of an organization brand for charityusiness development, Proven track record of meeting challenging revenue targets, Proven ability to build, manage and develop key stakeholder, client and donor relationships., Experience of developing and implementing strategic and business plans, Proven track record in fundraising that has directly resulted in increased income for an organization, leadership skills, Track record of bringing innovative creative thinking and fresh ideas to an organization and/ or its services, Knowledge of the fundraising environment and of a range techniques and disciplines which will support the cost effective generation of income for IRC, Exceptionally convincing and persuasive written and oral skills with the ability to present and convey complex ideas and issues clearly and coherently, Ability to secure Senior Management and Board approval for strategy, Demonstrable ability to evaluate the type of initiatives and programs within the scope of the post and initiate, develop and deliver new initiatives that build on their successes, Highly self-motivated and able to work autonomously, take initiative and make decisions

What You'll Do.
Lead the annual fundraising planning process
Develop long-term strategy to achieve organizational goals
Identify new potential income streams and produce strategies to access these funds
Produce cost-effective budgets
Ensure the Fundraising Department is kept within budget
Support and partner on all major fundraising initiatives
Develop and implement IRCs Nonprofit's financial strategy
Develop and implement a comprehensive development strategy
Develop and execute all proposals
Archive all proposals with a long-term relationship-management approach
Oversee research funding sources and trends
Monitor all donor provide and present statistical analysis
Develop and implement a stewardship program
Monitor and report regularly on the progress of the development program
and mentor the development team
Line management of fundraising staff
Setting objectives and work plans for staff
Managing workload and performance through regular one-to-one line management discussions
Plan and implement personal development program for team members
Undertake annual performance reviews
How You'll Work.
Team & Collaboration
Serve as an essential member of the senior leadership team (SLT); Active participant in making strategic decisions affecting IRC; Partner with the SLT; Collaborate with the Chief Operating Officer (COO); Work closely with other team members to secure funding for new programs; Work closely with the Senior Leadership Team; Support other directors as they take on a more active fundraising role; Engage with others at varying levels of seniority within and outside IRC
Communication Scope
Excellent communication skills, both written and ability to influence and engage a wide range of donors and build long-term relationships; Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Exceptionally convincing and persuasive written and oral skills with the ability to present and convey complex ideas and issues clearly and coherently
