Must Have
University degree in an applicable field of engineering or science, At least 15 years of applicable engineering experience including applicable experience prior to engineering management roles, Registered Professional Engineer in the Province of Ontario, qualified to seal engineering documents in a relevant field of engineering, or eligible to obtain for such registration within 6 months of hiring, Sound knowledge of multiple engineering fields, Demonstrated skills in the management engineering scopes of work on complex technical projects, leadership and coaching skills in the development of team members and support staff, communication (both verbal and written) and interpersonal skills, Excellent client focus and conflict resolution skills, Demonstrated business acumen – the ability to think, plan and negotiate strategically with a commercial orientation and good understanding of financial measurements

What You'll Do.
Responsible for the utilization of the engineering personnel assigned
Responsible for the technical integration with Bruce Power and Candu Energy Inc head office
Responsible for site technical point of contact with Bruce Power
Ensure qualified and appropriate staff are working on the project and are assigned work within their experience and skills
supervision and feedback to the Engineering Managers
Oversight of technical deliverables budget
Ensure that the final deliverables meet customer requirements specified in the contract and overall alignment with nuclear codes and standards
Review and approve or delegate the approval of key technical documentation under his supervision
Identifying and proposing improvements in the functioning of the organization

### **Job Description** **Director, Engineering** AtkinsRéalis is one of Canada's largest private sector nuclear engineering groups. We have been providing a wide range of services to the nuclear industry in Canada and around the world since for more than 60 years. We are proud to be the steward of Canadian CANDU nuclear technology. Candu Energy Inc. is looking to hire a Port Elgin office Engineering Director for a full-time regular position.
