What They're Looking For.

Must Have

Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, 12–18 years of experience, at least one hotel pre-opening experience in a senior engineering role, expertise in project management, expertise in MEP systems, expertise in hotel engineering operations, Proven experience in testing & commissioning, Proven experience in snagging, Proven experience in handover processes, knowledge of statutory compliance, knowledge of safety regulations, Leadership capability to build and manage teams from scratch

What You'll Do.

Lead all engineering aspects of the hotel pre-opening

testing & commissioning

operational readiness

Work closely with project teams

Review project drawings

and final handover of all engineering systems and equipment

Establish preventive maintenance programs

and engineering operational frameworks prior to opening

Set up engineering stores

and inventory systems

Drive sustainability and energy efficiency initiatives

Ensure all statutory approvals

and certifications are obtained before opening

Prepare and manage pre-opening budgets

and operational cost forecasts

and develop the engineering team from pre-opening to stabilization

Establish a culture of safety

and technical excellence

Design and implement training programs and SOPs for all engineering functions

Collaborate with People & Culture on manpower planning

Ensure all plant and equipment are tested

and fully operational before opening

Implement engineering systems and tools

Develop emergency response plans

fire & life safety systems

and compliance protocols

Conduct mock drills and readiness checks prior to hotel launch

Ensure a smooth transition from project phase to full hotel operations

Monitor system performance and optimize operations for efficiency and guest comfort

Drive continuous improvement in maintenance

and asset lifecycle management

Work closely with project teams, consultants, and contractors; Collaborate with People & Culture on manpower planning, onboarding, and team readiness
