Full Job Description
## Accountabilities Establish and lead the market risk control function, designing the overall risk framework, governance structure, and analytical tools to support trading and market-facing activities. Monitor and analyze real-time trading exposures, identifying breaches of risk limits and recommending mitigation actions to ensure adherence to approved risk appetite. Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive risk policies, procedures, and controls aligned with corporate objectives, regulatory requirements, and market best practices. Define and manage trading limits, ensuring they remain appropriate as strategies, market conditions, and portfolio exposures evolve over time. Oversee P&L reporting and attribution analysis, providing clear explanations of performance drivers and actionable insights for senior leadership. Build and enhance quantitative risk tools and automated reporting capabilities using programming languages such as Python and SQL to improve accuracy and efficiency. Manage counterparty, operational, and liquidity risks while supporting business continuity planning and ensuring strong risk governance across trading operations. Deliver regular risk reporting and insights to senior leadership and the Market Risk Committee, supporting informed strategic decision-making. Requirements: 7+ years of experience in market risk management, product control, or related roles within energy trading firms, investment banks, hedge funds, or similar financial environments. Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, engineering, or a related discipline; professional certifications such as CFA, FRM, or CPA are a plus. Strong understanding of power markets, energy trading products, and risk dynamics, with a genuine interest in renewable energy and market evolution. Proven experience designing and implementing risk frameworks, controls, and reporting processes in complex trading environments. Strong quantitative and analytical skills with hands-on proficiency in Python
