Must Have

Degree in Business, Commerce, Finance, or Economics, Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation, 10+ years of investment management experience, Deep understanding of markets, the economy, and the complexities of trust structures, Knowledge of trust law, compliance, regulatory, trading, and investment operations, Proficient in MS Office products, including Outlook, Word, Teams, and PowerPoint, Advanced MS Excel skills

Nice to Have

Additional advanced financial or investment credentials, Experience or a connection with Indigenous communities, French language capability

As the Director, Indigenous Trust Investment Oversight, you’ll lead all Indigenous Trust investment oversight activities, ensuring that CIBC Trust fulfills its fiduciary duties for this important client segment. You’ll work closely with Indigenous Trust Management and Administration, Indigenous Markets Relationship Managers, and other CIBC partners to address investment matters for both existing and prospective Indigenous Trust clients. Your role will include conducting client due diligence, collaborating with key stakeholders to understand their needs, and ensuring investment policies align with governing trust documents. You’ll also oversee investment discussions, negotiate solutions, and play a key role in shaping the future of investment oversight for Indigenous Trusts at CIBC Trust.
