What They're Looking For.
Must Have
5 years of financial services expertise, undergraduate degree in business or equivalent, knowledge of the operational, regulatory, and reputational risks within the capital markets environment, comprehension of the policies, standards, processes and controls that need to be in place to mitigate these risks
Nice to Have
CFA charterholder preferred, CPA preferred, FRM preferred, Series 7/63/65 preferred, CAIA preferred, CFP preferred, ACCA preferred, ACA preferred
What You'll Do.
Championing and maintaining robust governance frameworks that align with evolving global regulations
Collaborating with stakeholders across the organization to support regulatory compliance and drive best practices
Ensuring frameworks remain effective and responsive to industry changes
Leading the planning and implementation of governance
and control programs and processes for Capital Markets
Advising on global regulatory changes that affect Capital Markets
Streamlining delivery to ensure compliance and operational effectiveness
Leading regulatory impact assessments in collaboration with 1st
and 3rd line groups as a subject matter expert
Responding to global regulatory audits
Overseeing the execution of regulatory reporting projects and initiatives
Advising on changes to business and technology processes
Establishing and maintaining relationships across Business
and third-party service providers
Setting agendas and preparing presentations for executive steering committees and senior stakeholders
Leveraging experience in developing comprehensive business cases to support strategic initiatives
Bringing delivery experience in Capital Markets-wide projects
Applying tools and techniques for planning
and controlling projects with a focus on financial and schedule management
Demonstrating creative problem-solving skills by thriving in ambiguity
and driving continuous improvement
Establishing key processes in areas where guidelines may not yet exist
Proactively initiating design and development to create effective workflows

As part of the Capital Markets Global Regulatory Management Group, and reporting to the Executive Director, you’ll play a key role in championing and maintaining robust governance frameworks that align with evolving global regulations. You’ll collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to support regulatory compliance and drive best practices, ensuring our frameworks remain effective and responsive to industry changes. _At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote._ The expected annualized base salary range for this role is $92,490 to $142,490. The base salary is determined by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s skills, experience, and job-related knowledge, as well as geographic location and specific business needs.
