Full Job Description

## Description The Director of External manages SCMC’s sponsorship and external portfolio: firm outreach, sponsor management, speaker coordination, and board/partner-facing professionalism. This portfolio ensures sponsors and external stakeholders have a clean experience, and the organization maintains credibility with high-level stakeholders.  ## Time Commitment 10 hours/week (more in fall term/end of summer) ## Term of Employment June 2026 – March 2027 ## Main Responsibilities Lead sponsorship strategy and pipeline: target list, outreach sequencing, follow-ups, closes Manage sponsor relationships end-to-end: timelines, deliverables, logistics, and expectations Maintain an organized contact database/CRM for all external partners Support creation of pitch materials (decks, one-pagers) and prep meeting agendas/call notes Coordinate speaker and firm rep logistics in partnership with Conference (briefings, schedules, on-site needs) Ensure all sponsor assets are collected on time (logos, bios, session details) Work cross-functionally with Marketing to align public messaging with partner expectations ## Qualifications Exceptional attention to detail and follow-through Professional email etiquette and comfort with high-level stakeholders Organized, deadline-driven, proactive communicator Strong multitasker with project management instincts Experience in finance/corporate relations is an asset ## Anticipated Learning Outcomes Build professional connections with industry stakeholders Develop leadership, communication, delegation, and crisis management under real deadlines Learn to draft/edit professional documents and manage sponsor deliverables ## Additional Information Submit the following no later than June 17th at 11:59 PM PST: 1.
