What They're Looking For.
Must Have
7+ years of experience in a similar role working in the field of Real Estate Development (data center focused), Civil Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management, MS Project, BlueBeam, Google Earth, in addition to normal Microsoft Office tools, Experience championing a project from acquisition through due diligence, entitlements and permitting, Self‐motivated and able to multi‐task and prioritize with minimal direction, Possess a hardworking, positive demeanor, be a standout colleague and customer service oriented, Excellent written and verbal communication skills, Proactive in approaching solutions and problem solving, Promote the Prologis brand with passion in a positive, can-do demeanor with a real focus on efficiency and effectiveness, Ability to travel, as necessary, to projects (Approximately 30% travel)
Nice to Have
Bachelor of Science in Construction Management, Architecture, or Engineering (Civil or Structural) or equivalent experience preferred, Additional experience on design and build projects is preferred, Consistent track record working in the field of land development or construction management, For candidates without a degree in engineering, architecture, or real estate development, at least three years of concurrent experience supporting construction projects is project management experience with a general contractor or owner’s representative is a plus, Demonstrate willingness and capability to leverage emerging technology, automation, and AI tools to improve efficiency, quality, and speed, Exercises sound judgment, creative thinking, and accountability for outcomes
What You'll Do.
Leading construction activities of data center delivery
Ensuring accurate staffing to run forecasted construction activity
Providing cost and budget information for investment memos
Leading the technical side of the entitlement process
Optimizing designs and contractor bidding
Coaching the Prologis data center project management team across performance
Leading the construction process for new-build and retrofit data center projects
ensuring alignment with company standards and client requirements from concept to completion
Working closely with the data center design team to uphold design integrity and resolve construction challenges related to design intent
Owning development portfolio performance (cost
Monitoring project milestones to ensure timely delivery of project deliverables
Mentoring and leading junior colleagues by providing feedback
supervising performance
sharing expertise and honing judgement skills
Accountable for ongoing innovation and initiatives
Driving impact and showing strength of lean construction
GC bid negotiations and design optimization initiatives against targets
Developing and owning relationships with General Contractors
Working with procurement to own cost saving measures
Innovation and implementation of data center development standard methodologies
Innovation and implementation of development best practices
