Bachelor’s Degree plus at least 9 years of experience in data analytics, or Master’s Degree plus at least 7 years of experience in data analytics, or PhD plus at least 4 years of experience in data analytics, At least 5 years of Professional Data Analysis experience, At least 5 years of People Management experience, At least 2 years of Big Data technology experience, At least 2 years of Data Visualization experience
Nice to Have
Master’s Degree, 10+ years of Professional Data Analysis experience, 5+ years of Big Data experience (AWS and Spark), 5+ years of cloud native (AWS) data processing experience, 5+ years of Process Management experience, 5+ years of Project Management experience, 5+ years of experience with Python, 5+ years of Data Governance experience, 2+ years of experience with streaming data technologies (Kafka, Flink, Spark streaming)
What You'll Do.
Leading a newly created team of Data Analysts within GPN's Risk Management organization
Refining a new Enterprise-wide analytical tools validation framework
Planning and executing validation projects
Assessing the quality and risk of analytical tool methodologies across Capital One
and the nature of tools usage within those processes
Understanding technical issues in analytical tools and assessing tools risks and opportunities
Independently researching
and prototyping industry best practices for emerging analytical tools
Communicating results clearly and concisely both verbally and through written communications via validation reports and presentations

Coaching and mentoring junior staff
