What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or equivalent experience, 10–15+ years of experience in cloud or software engineering, platform architecture, or infrastructure leadership roles, At least 5 years leading multiple engineering teams or large, complex technical organizations, Deep expertise across at least one major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, or Azure) with multi-cloud familiarity, Expert-level experience designing and deploying infrastructure using IaC tools, programming and automation experience (Python preferred), Proven track record influencing across large matrixed organizations, leadership capabilities, with experience coaching and developing senior engineers, Demonstrated ability to set priorities, define long-term strategy, and deliver highvalue outcomes, Customercentric mindset with the ability to align cloud capabilities to business needs
Nice to Have
Multi-cloud architectural experience across AWS, Azure, and GCP, Experience defining enterprise cloud standards and governance frameworks, Expertise with Spacelift or similar IaC automation platforms, Contributions to open-source cloud or infrastructure tooling, Advanced cloud certifications (AWS SAPro, GCP Professional Cloud Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert), Experience working in global organizations with distributed engineering teams

We are seeking a **Director of Cloud Engineering** to lead our multicloud strategy and engineering organization within Pfizer Digital. The Director of Cloud Engineering is a **strategic technical leader** responsible for shaping cloud architecture direction, evolving engineering practices, and ensuring our cloud platforms remain secure, compliant, scalable, and efficient. The ideal candidate brings deep multicloud expertise, proven experience leading highperforming engineering teams, and the ability to influence across a large, complex, matrixed enterprise.
