What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Excellent command of software engineering principles, technologies, and best practices. Solid software development experience with a prior background as a software engineer. Expertise in multiple common technology ecosystems (Node.js, JVM, .NET, etc.). Expertise in software architecture and design of scalable, maintainable, and resilient systems operating in multi-region cloud environments. Mastery of modern software delivery practices (continuous delivery, Lean, etc.). Strong orientation towards operational excellence, including management and operation of critical systems hosted in the cloud. People management experience: recruitment, performance management, and talent development. Experience managing other managers within a software engineering organization. Experience collaborating with cross-functional leaders to define organizational objectives and priorities. Experience with full responsibility for a technology business line or product.
Nice to Have
Experience in product engineering or in a SaaS environment.
