Must Have

Minimum 1–3 years of experience in food service, hospitality, cafeteria, buffet, or remote camp service environments.

Nice to Have

Previous experience leading or directing staff in a dining room or service environment is preferred., Experience working in a high-volume or remote camp environment is an asset., Food Safe, WHMIS, or other site-required certifications are assets and may be required prior to deployment.

What You'll Do.

Supervise dining room operations during meal periods.

Ensure dining area is clean

Report to Chef and support service standards.

Oversee Kitchen Helpers for dining room support.

Assign daily duties to support staff.

Ensure Kitchen Helpers complete tasks properly.

Monitor product levels and communicate replenishment needs.

Maintain dining room cleanliness before

Ensure dining room cleaning and kitchen cleaning are completed.

Conduct routine inspections of dining room areas.

Support guest service and address concerns professionally.

Reinforce staff expectations through coaching.

Complete basic checklists and shift updates.

Perform other duties to support camp food service.

Team & Collaboration

Oversee the designated Kitchen Helpers assigned to the dining room and cleaning support duties.; Reinforce expectations with staff through day-to-day coaching, direction, and follow-up.; Support guest service by maintaining an orderly dining environment, addressing routine concerns professionally, and escalating issues to the Chef when required.

Job Summary: The Dining Room Technician is responsible for the day-to-day supervision of dining room operations in a remote camp environment. Reporting directly to the Chef, this role oversees the dining room team and the designated Kitchen Helpers assigned to dining room and cleaning support tasks. The position ensures that meal service areas are always clean, organized, fully stocked, and guest-ready. This role is also accountable for the success of the dish pit station, grab-and-go offering, and take-away services, while maintaining a high standard of service, presentation, cleanliness, and task completion throughout the dining room and assigned kitchen support areas. This role is well-suited for professionals with strong hospitality backgrounds and experience working in remote camps.
