Full Job Description

Project Kuiper is Amazon’s low Earth orbit satellite broadband network. Its mission is to deliver fast, reliable internet to customers and communities around the world, and we’ve designed the system with the capacity, flexibility, and performance to serve a wide range of customers, from individual households to schools, hospitals, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in locations without reliable connectivity. Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum. Key job responsibilities - Set up and operate coordinate measuring machines. - Perform first article, in-process, final and receiving inspections. - Provide feedback to machinists and engineers with dimensional data. - Document, track and complete discrepancy reports. - Excellent blueprint reading skills including GD&T per ASME Y14.5M standard. - Excellent communication skills. - Fluent in the use of precision hand tools, gauges, optical comparator, and surface plate work. - Experience inspecting tight-tolerance, high-value components. - Basic machining knowledge. - Outside processing knowledge (heat treat, plating, coating, EDM, grinding, etc.) Candidates must be 18 years or older with the ability to understand and adhere to all job requirements and safety guidelines. The starting pay for this role in Washington State is up to $42/hour and employees are eligible for incremental raises based on tenure.
