In this role, you will promote nutritional care through correction and modification of menus, diet order sheets and effective departmental communications. **Responsibilities** * You will prepare and deliver diet information to tray assembly, production, and delivery personnel * You will update all diet information for patient rooms as received from nursing units * You will assist the patient to make menu decisions that reflect a healthy well-balanced diet within the parameters of the patients’ dietary prescription **Requirements** * High school graduate or equivalent * Current Washington State Food Handlers Card * Excellent written, and verbal communication skills * The ability to work in a team environment * Maintain professional demeanor at all times including but not limited to the phone and diet office * A high level of attention to detail and an ability to work well under pressure to meet deadlines * Strong understanding of therapeutic diets * Strong working knowledge of computers and computer programs * Basic understanding of office equipment and procedures * Provide a high level of customer service while assisting the patient **About Yakima Memorial Hospital** MultiCare Yakima Memorial Hospital has served the Yakima Valley since 1950.
