Valid driver’s license, Previous experience performing repair and maintenance on heavy-duty trucks or equipment, ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical issues on commercial vehicles, Experience working with aftertreatment systems, brake systems (disc and shoe), transmissions, clutches, suspension components, tires, and wheels, Knowledge of air conditioning diagnostics and maintenance for heavy-duty equipment, Ability to diagnose and repair electrical and lighting systems, Familiarity with diesel engine systems and general heavy-duty truck components, Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced shop environment, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, Ability to properly document repairs and service work

## Description Our client is a family-owned and operated truck and trailer repair shop specializing in dedicated fleet maintenance, with a focus on the car hauling industry. They are fully equipped to handle all aspects of heavy-duty repair, offering top-tier diagnostic tools and a professional, supportive work environment.   Our client is seeking a qualified Diesel Technician to perform professional repair and maintenance work on heavy-duty equipment. The technician will be responsible for diagnosing and servicing a wide range of mechanical and electrical systems on commercial trucks and equipment. This role includes performing diagnostics and maintenance on aftertreatment systems, disc and shoe brake systems, transmissions and clutches, suspension components, tires and wheels, air conditioning systems, as well as electrical and lighting systems. The ideal candidate will be capable of accurately diagnosing issues and completing repairs efficiently while maintaining high standards of workmanship and safety. ## Responsibilities Perform onsite diagnostic and repair work on heavy-duty commercial vehicles. Utilize OEM diagnostic software and tools (Cummins, PACCAR, Snap-on, JPRO, ECT) to efficiently identify and resolve issues. Maintain accurate records of work performed and communicate with fleet managers or clients as needed. Adhere to all safety protocols and company procedures. Maintain punctuality and professionalism at all times. Perform professional repair and maintenance on heavy-duty trucks and equipment. Diagnose and service aftertreatment systems, including troubleshooting emissions-related issues. Inspect, repair, and maintain disc and shoe brake systems. Perform transmission and clutch maintenance or replacements as required. Diagnose and repair suspension components to ensure proper vehicle performance and safety.
