What They're Looking For.
Must Have
1 year of experience as a technician working on heavy equipment, 1 year of prior experience as a technician working on heavy equipment, knowledge and application of OSHA Haz OSHA Lock Out Tag Out and all OSHA Fire Protection regulations
Nice to Have
Mechanical Trade School certificate or degree, Certificate in electrical diagnostics, Applicable ASE certifications, Welding and/or fabrication skills and/or experience
What You'll Do.
Perform repairs and maintenance on heavy equipment
Diagnose and repair mechanical problems
Perform repair or preventative maintenance on vehicles
Read and interpret equipment condition reports
Communicate with supervisor for clarification
Discuss preventive techniques with operators
Complete paperwork associated with repairing equipment
Document parts usage and accounting for applied times
Complete daily consumables report
Collect and interpret analyses from oil sampling
Follow all safety policies and procedures
Perform overhauls on gas or diesel engines
