Basic mechanical skills on med/heavy-duty trucks and buses, Minimal knowledge of methods, materials, tools, and techniques used in vehicle repair and maintenance, Skills in the use of power and hand tools, Skills in the use of diagnostic equipment, Operation of vehicles and equipment for diagnostic purposes, Ability to drive and operate a variety of equipment, Must own tools required to complete assigned work

What You'll Do.
Perform basic diagnostics and repairs
Perform vehicle inspections
Perform repairs and assigned preventive maintenance services
Perform inspection and repair of minor electrical systems
Perform inspection and repair of minor hydraulic systems
Perform inspection and repair of minor suspension systems
Perform inspection and repair of minor brake systems
Advise Service Writer of estimated repair time
Advise Service Writer of materials needed
Perform all work within Standard Repair Times
Perform service calls for emergency breakdowns
Conduct safety check inspections on vehicles
Identify warrantable repairs
Document warrantable repairs on repair order
Complete required paperwork utilizing fleet maintenance software
Account for repair times
Review repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports
Complete repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports
Assign repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports
Maintain a clean work area
Maintain a safe work area
Perform all work by established safety procedures
Ensure all repairs are completed as assigned
Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities
Update job knowledge by reading technical publications
Update job knowledge by reading regulation publications
