What They're Looking For.
Must Have
3+ years of relevant experience in diesel or heavy truck fleet maintenance, Proficiency with hydraulic and electrical troubleshooting and repair, Welding and fabrication experience, Knowledge of heavy truck suspensions, steering, braking systems, and transmissions
Nice to Have
Waste industry experience is a plus, Proficiency with MACK and Cummins diagnostics is a plus, Valid Class A or Class CDL is strongly preferred, ASE certification is a plus
What You'll Do.
Perform advanced engine and exhaust diagnostics including DPF systems for MACK and Cummins
Diagnose and repair hydraulic systems and electrical and wiring issues
Diagnose and service air brake systems including Bendix and Meritor
Perform suspension and steering diagnostics and repairs on multiple system types
Diagnose and repair both automatic and manual transmissions
Complete welding and fabrication tasks as needed
Maintain organization of tools
and shop housekeeping
Utilize McNeilus equipment knowledge when applicable
Complete required documentation
maintain accurate service records
and follow company procedures
Operate company vehicles and equipment when needed
