DevSecOps / Systems Engineer Position Overview G2IT is seeking an experienced DevSecOps / Systems Engineer to support mission-critical Department of Defense initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong systems engineering experience, hands-on DevSecOps expertise, and experience deploying secure, containerized software within DoD environments. This role requires a technically skilled engineer who can support software deployment, infrastructure automation, container orchestration, cloud environments, and secure integration within Department of Navy networks and computing environments. Security Clearance Requirements Active Top Secret/SCI clearance or TS/SCI eligibility with a completed Tier 5 investigation at the time of submission. Required Qualifications Minimum five (5) years of DoD systems engineering experience. Demonstrated experience deploying software within the Overmatch Software Armory (OSA) or a comparable DoD DevSecOps pipeline. Demonstrated experience integrating containerized software into Department of Navy networks and computing environments, such as CANES. Experience using microservice architectures and/or service mesh technologies. DoD 8140/8570 IAT Level II certification and/or intermediate proficiency baseline certification for CSWF approval, such as: Security+ CE CySA+ Equivalent approved certification Strong understanding of secure software deployment, system integration, and DevSecOps best practices. Excellent troubleshooting, communication, documentation, and collaboration skills. Key Responsibilities Support the design, deployment, integration, and sustainment of secure software solutions within DoD environments. Deploy and manage containerized applications across mission-focused systems and networks. Integrate software into Department of Navy environments using microservices and service mesh technologies.
