What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Bachelor's degree in Science or Engineering or equivalent professional experience, Five or more years of professional experience in commercial construction practices and procedures, including management of Lump Sum, Construction Management @ Risk, and Design Build project delivery methods from conceptual development through procurement to close out, Experience with Microsoft Office suite, specifically PowerPoint for use in communicating program updates to executive level, and Excel to create and maintain site program & individual project budgets, Be able to be on-site daily in West TX area (Permian Basin), Be able to travel up to 50% of the time
Nice to Have
MBA, Masters in Engineering, Management, or related field, Experience with delivery of mission critical data center facilities, Extensive experience with management of MEP trades
What You'll Do.
Manage multiple projects on a campus(es)
Maintain updated budgets
Create and communicate program & project status updates
Work with stakeholders to create master development program
Manage entitlement and permitting needs
Implement and manage multi-phased site development plans
Write scopes of work for services
Evaluate and level pricing proposals
Work closely with procurement team
Ensure submittals are coordinated
Monitor and create project budget / cost-to-date
Establish project schedules
Review and approve monthly pay applications
Review change order requests
Establish site construction security procedures
Develop plans for product deployment
Collaborate with Sales Engineers and Product teams
Establish and maintain relationships
Represent QTS Interests in OAC meetings
Create & build relationships
Aid in due diligence efforts
Enhance project management processes and protocols
How You'll Work.
Team & Collaboration
Interact on a daily basis with Facilities, Contractors, Designers, Engineers, Commissioning Agents, Vendors, and Data Center Operations staff; Work with QTS stakeholders, design, and construction teams; Work closely with strategic procurement team; Ensure appropriate submittals are coordinated with site stakeholders; Collaborate with Sales Engineers and Product teams; Establish and maintain relationships serving as liaison with key QTS stakeholders; Represent QTS Interests as leader in OAC meetings; Create & build relationships that enhance QTS’s ability; Work with the internal development team
