What They're Looking For.
Must Have
3–5 years of software development experience, Hands-on experience with AI systems including LLMs, vision-language models, RAG pipelines, or document AI workflows, Prototyping ability across Python (data workflows, backend logic), Prototyping ability across JavaScript/TypeScript (frontend or SDK integrations), Established workflows with AI coding tools and agents, Ability to articulate clear technical opinions based on experiments, Comfort publishing technical opinions publicly, Communication chops to explain complex ideas in a peer-to-peer manner
Nice to Have
Prior experience with document processing, PDF libraries, or OCR, Familiarity with compliance-driven industries such as insurance, banking, Experience contributing to or maintaining open source projects, Background in developer tools, API-first companies, or SDK-focused products
What You'll Do.
Create hands-on samples and working demos
Build small applications and prototypes
Document work through technical blog posts
and architecture deep dives
Compare approaches through real experiments (e.g. OCR vs vision models vs structured extraction) and publish findings

Develop clear technical perspectives on AI and document workflows
Use AI coding tools to build and iterate quickly
Contribute meaningfully in developer communities (GitHub
and architecture deep dives
Attend and speak at relevant developer events
Be helpful in developer conversations
Observe how developers approach document workflows problems
Share regular insights with product
and documentation strategy
