It is part of ING’s **IT Engineering function within WB Tech in ING Hubs Philippines**. The role works closely with **cross-functional Agile squads** , including developers, architects, SREs, and product stakeholders. The engineer collaborates with operations and platform teams for CI/CD, monitoring, and incident management, typically reporting into an **Engineering Lead or Chapter Lead within the IT domain**. **Key Responsibilities** * Design, develop, and maintain **Java-based web applications** using frameworks such as Spring Boot * Contribute to **modernization initiatives** , migrating legacy systems into microservices or event-driven architectures * Implement **integration solutions** using Kafka, JMS, MQ, file transfer, or cloud storage (e.g., S3) * Build and enhance **CI/CD pipelines** using Azure DevOps and container platforms (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift) * Apply **testing strategies** (unit, integration, and E2E) using tools such as JUnit, Mockito, Selenium
