Position: Registered Nurse – Lighthouse Residential Treatment Job Summary: The Registered Nurse (RN) works under the supervision of the Nurse Manager as part of an interdisciplinary team ensuring the provision of safe and high-quality medical and nursing care. The RN through nursing assessments communicates client needs to the medical providers and provides education to help clients meet their treatment goals. Duties and Responsibilities: Duties include, but are not limited to: Completes assessments as part of the admission process and throughout the client’s stay Executes orders from the medical providers, including medication administration and assessments, documenting all care in the electronic client record (ECR) Performs point of care testing, including obtaining urine specimens, and arranges transport to lab as ordered. Provides individual and family counseling. Participates in the development and delivery of educational curriculum on medical topics. Supervises LPNs providing nursing care. Administers medication as required by protocol. Responds to crisis calls for assessment and pertinent intervention as needed. Completes clinical documentation as required. Ensures client care by providing support to the interdisciplinary team as needed, which includes coordinating care with outside providers and discharge planning. Abides by all federal and state regulations and accreditation standards in the delivery of nursing care.
