What They're Looking For.
Must Have
3-5 years of fashion design work experience ideally within the mid to luxury market segment, Work experience within tailoring product categories, aswell as casual woven/denim product, ideally across genders, Excellent computer skills (Illustrator/Photoshop) & hand-drawing skills, Ability to translate trends into commercial collections with a contemporary handwriting, High level fabric knowledge across tailoring and casual woven/denim plus a technical understanding of fits, constructions and authentic detailing, understanding of sourcing qualities, washes, trims and details that fit in the Tommy Hilfiger aesthetic, Thrives in a fast paced ever changing environment with a hands-on mentality, Proactive approach to the work place, able to support and adapt to the needs of the team, Highly organized and can work on multiple seasons and projects simultaneously, A dedicated driven team player, with great communication skills, Business English fluency (both written and verbal)
Nice to Have
Work experience from luxury brand runway and celebrity dressing is a plus
What You'll Do.
Designing and executing styles within seasonal Runway shows with a focus on the “Tailoring” product category for Menswear and Womenswear
Working across other product categories in addition to Tailoring
on a variety of diverse projects including Celebrity Dressing
Designing and creating pinnacle products that embody the Tommy Hilfiger brand
Collaboratively sourcing and presenting creative research that works within the Tommy Hilfiger brand strategy
translating these into product in line with the seasonal concept direction
Designing within the Tailoring product category with confidence and a luxury handwriting as well as an understanding of the brand DNA
Using Illustrator or hand sketching to confidently communicate design ideas and create detailed CAD sketches
overviews and colour ups
Preparing sketches (2D & 3D) for divisional digital presentations and follow up of each style
Creating garment worksheets and preparing PLM to send to factories
Working closely with pattern cutters and fit team within the in house Atelier on silhouettes and garment fittings
Following fit process from sketch to end style and supporting to ensure all styles are to the highest possible standard
Close working and communication on changes that arise during the development of styles
Supporting and partnering with the Product Developer to execute each style to ensure a smooth work flow each season
Attending and participating at key milestones such as proto review
style outs and show prep
Partnering with sourcing teams about sourcing qualities
trims and details that fit in the Tommy Hilfiger aesthetic
Following up on selected sourcing and fabrics each season with the Product Developer and Fabric Manager
Working closely with the Design Team to align design aesthetics
seasonal details and creative big ideas
Working to multiple overlapping calendar deadlines
How You'll Work.
Team & Collaboration
Partner with and support other members of the Design team; Work alongside the Product Development, Fit and Merchandising to create cohesive collections and capsules that align across product groups with clear story telling reflecting season concept ideas; Close working and communication on changes that arise during the development of styles; Supports and partners with the Product Developer to execute each style to ensure a smooth work flow each season; Attend and participate at key milestones such as proto review, style outs and show prep; Work closely with the Design Team to align design aesthetics, seasonal details and creative big ideas
Communication Scope
Business English fluency (both written and verbal); Great communication skills
