### **Job Description** ## Overview The technician supports telecommunications projects by handling design, construction, and commissioning tasks. They create technical plans, ensure compliance with industry standards, review drawings, conduct inspections, and collaborate with teams, requiring strong technical and communication skills. ## Your role * Design and prepare plans using Revit, CAD, and BIM (an asset) * Prepare cost estimates and technical studies * Research and propose technical solutions in accordance with applicable standards * Participate in the preparation of specifications and in bid analysis * Provide technical support throughout the project execution process as needed * Verify compliance of shop drawings * Update plans following approved change requests * Participate, when required, in validating deficiency lists for project acceptance * Prepare and conduct tests * Perform measurements using testing and measurement equipment * Write technical reports * Organize and participate in technical meetings, representing the discipline on projects * Work on large-scale, multidisciplinary projects * Prepare design plans for telecommunications systems and structured cabling (radio communication, telephony, public address, access control, data transmission, fiber optics, etc.) * Perform inspections and field surveys * Participate in equipment commissioning * Provide technical assistance during implementation, including RFIs, shop drawing approvals, technical data sheet reviews, engineering directives (ED), and site instructions (SI) ## About you * College diploma (DEC) in telecommunications * 5 to 10 years of experience in telecommunications systems design * Knowledge of TIA and BICSI telecommunications standards * Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.) * ASP Construction card (asset) * Knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit (asset) * Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills * Customer-oriented mindset * Effective time and priority management
