Must Have
Civil / Highway Engineering background, Highways alignment and corridor modelling, Advanced user or expert user in Autodesk Civil3D, Minimum of 5 to 8 years’ core Civil3D experience, Handling Bentley MX data in Civil3D, Use Navisworks to generate clash results, manage clash resolution, redline BIM Models, capture viewpoints and cascade reports to discipline teams, Working knowledge of British or any International standards of drafting and detailing such as IAN16, GG184, ISO19650 etc., UpToDate with the latest developments in the BIM, Bachelor’s degree or Diploma holder in Civil Engineering with sufficient and relevant experience, Experience of using written and spoken English within a business environment, Working knowledge of British Standards
Nice to Have
Highways domain experience, Hands-on experience of industry standard Highways BIM Platforms such as Autodesk InfraWorks and Bentley Open Roads, Working knowledge of Dynamo

Deliver high-quality BIM and highway design outputs for complex infrastructure projects
Develop intelligent 3D highway models
Produce detailed 2D drawings
Manage discipline models and CDEs
Support BIM coordination and clash detection
Produce highway deliverable such as Roadway layout
Signs & Road Markings
Typical Cross Sections
Produce intelligent 3D models and extract information directly from the model to form 2D drawings
quantities and other deliverables
Manage the Highways discipline 3D models
check model quality and technical content including clash detection and compliance with the BEP
Work with the Information Manager and project teams to assist in the development and implementation of BIM strategies
workflows and processes on projects in accordance with Atkins Corporate Standards
Client requirements and industry best practice
Manage the Highways Team Common Data Environment (CDE) of the project

### **Job Description** ## Overview The Highways Designer role at AtkinsRéalis GDC Transportation focuses on delivering high‑quality BIM and highway design outputs for complex infrastructure projects. The position involves developing intelligent 3D highway models, producing detailed 2D drawings, managing discipline models and CDEs, and supporting BIM coordination and clash detection in line with AtkinsRéalis standards and ISO 19650. Strong expertise in Civil 3D, highways BIM workflows, and collaboration within multidisciplinary teams is essential, offering exposure to large-scale global infrastructure projects. ## Your role * Should be able to produce highway deliverable such as Roadway layout, Plan & profiles, Signs & Road Markings, Kerbs & footways, Pavement drawings, Setting out details, Typical Cross Sections, Standard details etc. * Produce intelligent 3D models and extract information directly from the model to form 2D drawings, schedules, setting out, quantities and other deliverables. * Manage the Highways discipline 3D models, check model quality and technical content including clash detection and compliance with the BEP. * Work with the Information Manager and project teams to assist in the development and implementation of BIM strategies, BIM Execution Plans, workflows and processes on projects in accordance with Atkins Corporate Standards, Client requirements and industry best practice. * Manage the Highways Team Common Data Environment (CDE) of the project, and the distribution of coordinated digital documents to the project teams. * Provide over the shoulder support for staff developing models and 2D drawing extractions. * Maintain a high level of competency of all BIM software tools used at Atkins ## About you _Requirements_ * Must be from a Civil / Highway Engineering background with preferable Highways domain experience. * Experience of Highways alignment and corridor modelling * Must be an advanced user or expert user in Autodesk Civil3D, with a mi
