Full Job Description
**RESPONSIBILITY LEVEL:** This position is responsible to support the definition, development and delivery of a standardized methodology addressing the design processes followed during the chiller product developments and subsequent sustaining activities within the Chiller Solutions line of business. Design process areas in scope for this role pertain to the global activities required to develop new products as well as to sustain existing ones. These activities could include anything in the chain of product development activities – ex: required design documentation, design for manufacturing / design for quality, design guides, engineering order manual (EOM), 3D models and 2D drawings, bill of materials (BOM), order configurators, ERP systems content, etc. A key focus of this role will be to support the design automation team and understand their requirements and challenges to ensure they are successful in implementing an automation roadmap. The successful candidate will support efforts to standardize on design related processes and help to enforce those processes globally. **PRINCIPAL DUTIES:** **Chiller design standardization** Document/maintain existing Chiller design processes by participating in discovery workshops, applying knowledge of Chiller design, participating in design for manufacturing reviews, conferring with Chiller Solutions peers, soliciting inputs from manufacturing centers & design centers, etc. Document/maintain design rules, guidelines, templates, etc. and formalize into a standardized design methodology whose cadence embeds into the existing PDP/D3 process. Act as product line(s) architect in all design related efforts for product standardization – eg: engineering order manual (EOM) structure, 3D model and 2D drawing structure, bill of material (BOM) standardized structure, etc.. **Design Automation and Productivity** Establish relationships and close collaboration with the leaders of the Design Automation and Design Operations teams globally.
