What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Chartered Engineer/Architect or equivalent, Experience managing design commissions on large infrastructure projects, Experience across a range of construction projects, Ability to manage and motivate a team, Understands and has experience in deploying various forms of construction contract, particularly NEC3/ NEC4, Experienced at preparing Scope Definition papers, Project Execution Plans, Risk Registers, Change Control Logs and Client & Stakeholder Management plans, Experience of managing design projects to time, cost and quality objectives, Familiar with BIM, Understanding of 3D modelling tools for design and coordination purposes
Nice to Have
Familiar with programming and earned value techniques, Customer focused, Excellent client relationship management skills
What You'll Do.
Deliver projects to agreed targets
Identify and agree project objectives
Develop strategy for achieving objectives
Identify and escalate contractual/commercial risks
Lead the project team
Ensure safety is prioritised
Facilitate communication and coordination
Assemble and own project delivery programme
Close out project on completion
Capture and disseminate lessons learnt
How You'll Work.
Team & Collaboration
Facilitate communication, co-ordination and information flow with the Client and within the project team, including any subcontractors and partners; Leading the project team – building, motivating, maintaining, coaching, guiding and developing the team
Communication Scope
Excellent interpersonal, organisational and communication skills both verbal and written; Client relationship management skills
Process & Methodology
Project delivery, Programme management, Budget management, Quality management, Risk management, Change control, Earned value techniques
