“Design Engineer (P3) at RTX. Skills: design, engineering support, aerospace. Provide engineering support for production hardware and engines by improving producibility, resolving non-conformances, and guiding supplier transitions and start-ups to ensure safety, reliability, and cost-effective performance.. Deliver technical support for ESTO’s portfolio of new and mature commercial engines, contributing to the success of industry-leading propulsion systems.”

U. S. citizenship is required, as only U. S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract., 10% (Domestic and International) travel requirement.

What They're Looking For.

Must Have

Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 5 years of engineering experience, or an Advanced degree and 3 years of engineering experience.

Nice to Have

Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, Experience working in the aerospace industry, specifically supporting jet engine programs, Demonstrate the ability to communicate clearly and professionally—both verbally and in writing—to support cross-functional collaboration and maintain working relationships, Consistently use interpersonal skills to interact effectively with teams and stakeholders, contributing to a productive and collaborative work environment

What You'll Do.

Provide engineering support for production hardware and engines by improving producibility

resolving non-conformances

and guiding supplier transitions and start-ups to ensure safety

and cost-effective performance.

Deliver technical support for ESTO’s portfolio of new and mature commercial engines

contributing to the success of industry-leading propulsion systems.

Conduct timely and accurate design assessments for static frames

and actuation hardware in the forward (“cold”) section of commercial engines

ensuring alignment with engineering requirements.

Coordinate and execute design analyses—including print updates

producibility improvements

and non-conformance dispositions—while providing vendor support and completing Engineering First Piece Reviews (EFPRs) within defined program timelines.

and present design results

serving as the primary approver for design analysis memos and ensuring engineering standard work processes are consistently followed and enhanced.

How You'll Work.

Team & Collaboration

Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including engine programs, Component Integrated Product Teams (CIPTs), module center engineering, design, and metallurgy—to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives.; Collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineering teams to deliver design solutions that meet performance, durability, and life requirements, using classical analysis and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) where appropriate.
