Design Engineer (Experienced or Senior) **Company:** The Boeing Company Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) seeks a **Design Engineer** to serve as a **Structural and Payload Design Engineer** for our team in El Segundo, CA to focus on antenna structures. **Position Responsibilities** : * Develop, integrate, and document structural and interior payload system requirements to establish the system design. * Develop, maintain, and modify basic structural and interior payload system and component designs using **3-D CAD** tools (such as **Creo** Parametric) and other design methods, to provide product definition to other engineering groups, production operations, suppliers and external customers throughout the product lifecycle. * Validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications. * Manage supplier development and test and production activities. Coordination with suppliers to optimize design and achieve program goals. * Develop new design and analysis processes and tools to improve effectiveness, quality and efficiency of the development effort. * Maintain knowledge of emerging technologies to develop concepts for future product designs to meet projected requirements. This position is expected to be fully onsite in El Segundo, CA. **Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)** : * Ability, after starting in the role, to get a TS/SCI U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. * Years of related experience: 3+ for level 3, 5+ for level 4. * Experience using Computer Aided Design (**CAD**) software. * Experience in **Space Hardware** environments, such as satellites. * Experience with **structural engineering** , **payload engineering** , or **systems engineering**. * Experience with **composite materials** and processes, such as **honeycomb** sandwich panels, **carbon fiber layups** , **graphite layups**. * If not already within commuting distance of El Segundo, CA, willingness and ability to re
