Professional Engineer (P. E.) registration, Design Build Institute of America (DBIA), P3 or Design Build experience, Knowledge of means and methods, On-site and field experience, PennDOT regulations desirable, Bentley MicroStation preferred

POSITION SUMMARY The Design Engineer will support the preconstruction design delivery of the project, under the direction of and in coordination with the Design Manager. Understand how Design-Build and P3 projects fit together: contracts, standards, construction, designers, and deliverables. During construction the Design Engineer will coordinate RFI’s, minor work changes, field design changes and construction submittals. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Work in the design process for various phases of the design life cycle, from proposal, detailed design, and construction to provide the best technical solutions to optimize the design, minimizing quantities and/or construction time, while all technical requirements are met. Due diligence and review of designs provided by sub-consultants and clients, performing quality control reviews, and checking the design with independent analyses.
