Takethe first step!Apply now! * Designs for Packaging machinery using and applying engineering principles & Customer spec. * Confer with team & technical sales personnel, to clarify specifications & develop designs. * Review drawings and bills of material within engineering team members to ensure QC. * Selects design options which assure proper performance, reliability, safety and manufacturability. * Complete mechanical engineering designs by calculating operational parameters such as speeds, gear ratios, drives, torques, velocities * Respond to questions from purchasing/manufacturing personnel for clarification of design. * Support field service for machine troubleshooting as needed. * Preparation and attending internal / external audits for dept. * Participation in functional and cross functional Continuous improvement initiatives ## Qualifications * Bachelor’s degree with 8 + years of engineering experience in mechanical design of packaging machinery and factory automation. * Problem-solving skills to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner, including gathering and analyzing information, and developing alternative solutions. * Have strong knowledge base of fabrication methods and processes, such as milling, turning, and welding, with an understanding of cost impacts. * Excellent verbal and
