You must be a Texas resident to work for the Texas Workforce Commission or willing to relocate to Texas. WHO YOU ARE: As Deputy Chief Information Officer (CIO) of Applications Solutions (AS), you'll provide strategic direction and leadership to teams responsible for the entire lifecycle of our critical applications – from initial intake and monitoring to upgrades, maintenance, releases, and project management. You will envision and execute the department's technical roadmap, managing multiple teams on projects aligned with our core business objectives and strategic priorities. You'll be a champion for innovation, a builder of strong relationships, and a driving force in ensuring our technology solutions meet the evolving needs of our organization. WHAT YOU WILL DO: The Deputy CIO Applications Solutions (Director III) performs highly advanced (senior-level) managerial work providing direction and guidance in strategic operations and planning. Work involves establishing the strategic plan and goals and objectives; developing policies, procedures, and guidelines; establishing priorities, standards, and measurement tools for determining progress in meeting goals; coordinating and evaluating program activities and/or business functions; and reviewing and approving budgets within departments or divisions.
